Description
TWO VARIETIES IN ONE PACKET: Includes dwarf 'Fairy Bouquet' (10–15 in., 1934 AAS winner and RHS Award of Garden Merit recipient) for front-of-border and containers, plus tall 'Northern Lights' (18–28 in.) for back-of-border and cutting — 6,000 heirloom, open-pollinated, non-GMO Linaria maroccana seeds per pack.
SNAPDRAGON-FORM BLOOMS WITH SPURS: Miniature flowers, 0.5–0.75 in. across, appear in pink, yellow, red, purple, and violet with yellow throat patches, blooming from spring through summer.
SURFACE SOW GERMINATION: Seeds require light to germinate — press lightly into soil without covering. Germination occurs in 10–21 days at 60–70°F.
GROWING CONDITIONS: Prefers well-drained sandy or loamy soil, pH 6.0–7.5, in full sun to partial shade (6+ hours daily). Moderate water needed while establishing; drought tolerant once mature.
POLLINATOR ATTRACTION: Long-spurred blooms draw bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, providing a nectar source during the cool-season period when fewer annuals are in bloom.
MULTIPLE USE CASES: Suited for cottage gardens, pollinator borders, containers, hanging baskets, rock gardens, cut flower arrangements, mass plantings, and naturalized areas.
CLIMATE ADAPTABILITY: Frost tolerant and drought tolerant; self-seeds under favorable conditions; hardy as an annual in USDA zones 3–10. Bloom slows in summer heat; cutting plants back by half after the first bloom flush can produce fall rebloom in cooler regions.
